The Catalonia Fistball Association is a private non-profit entity and is open to the public use; it has both a civic and social interest.
Its history goes back to early 2007, where a group of friends wanted to play, in a non-professional capacity, a non-contact team sport; they began to play fistball. That same group of friends set up the Association in the same year.
On the 6th of August, 2007 the International Federation admitted the Catalonia Fistball Association as a member in its own right,
The Association’s purpose is:
- To promote and disseminate FISTBALL.
- To propagate and publicise FISTBALL.
- To coordinate and organise Fistball implementation tasks and its projection, both nationally and internationally.
- To take part in national or international FISTBALL
demonstrations and events.
- The promotion and practice of physical activity and sport.
Clubs, sports associations and organisations that are engaged in the practice, the promotion, development of fistball, both outdoor and indoor, as well as the players, trainers, umpires, scorers and others with the appropriate federal license, can meet within the Association.
